Product detailed description

ZX Spectrum clone based on Altera  EPM7128, non assembled kit of components, fits original case of ZX Spectrum 48K or 48K+

 - you will receive full kit of components for building replacement board for your non-functional Speccy
 - Set of all integrated circuits is tested with ZX 48 Spider board
 - CPLD EMP7128 and EPROM are pre-programmed
 - two ROMs available, selectable by jumper (licence free OpenSE ROM and diagnostic Alford v0.37 )
 - RGB video output only, you have to build RGB to SCART Harlequin compatible cable.
 - Mini Din8, SCART connector and 7 conductor cable 1.45m long for building video cable is included, connection diagram on the photo
 - AY audio output is available on SCART and EAR/MIC connectors
 - original AY-3-8910 chip or alternative YM2149F is supplied, depends on availability
 - low efficient LM7805 linear regulator is replaced with modern DCDC converter, overheating is reduced to minimum
 - total consumption of about 0.2A from 12V DC power supply
 - the board must be powered from 9-12V DC adapter of any polarity
 - very good compatibility with original ZX Spectrum, works with DivIDE, DivMMC and other hardware

documentation is not included, more info on: https://github.com/konkotgit/ZX-48-Spider

 Important build notes

 - C21 10uF capacitor must be replaced with 100uF (included) for proper power on Reset, 5V DCDC converter  slow start causes device fail to reset on power-on if the original 10uF is used
 - Q1 BC517 transistor must be replaced with BC548 (included) to make loading from TAPE work properly with low output level TAPE players or mobile phones. For loading games from Android phone you will need to install     the great "PlayZX" app and source your own 3.5mm-3.5mm stereo cable
 - U3 DCDC power regulator pins must be carefully bent before soldering using pliers, see photos of final assy.
 - glueing speaker to fix it to PCB isn't necessarily needed, wires left from resistors do the job
 - U11 74LS240 must be removed from the socket if you're using extension board with Kempston interface enabled to avoid conflicts on the data bus
 - use small file tool for grinding U5 and U7 sockets on short side else it won't fit due to resistors placed underneath
